Residual Current Circuit Breakers (RCCBs):
RCCBs shall be suitable for operation at 230V/415V, 50Hz supply. The RCCB ratings shall be from 25A to 80A. The sensitivities offered shall be 30/100/300mA as the application demands and the same shall be specified in the BOQ. The RCCBs shall be suitable for conductor cross-sections upto 35sq mm and shall be suitable for mounting on a 35mm DIN rail. The mechanical life shall be in line with the requirements of the standards.
The manufacturer shall provide the routine test certificate with each RCCB at the time of supply of components.
Residual Current Breaker Operators (RCBOs): 2 module version
RCBOs shall be suitable for operation at 230V/415V, 50Hz supply. The RCBO ratings shall be from 6-63A. The sensitivities offered shall be 30/100/300mA as the application demands and the same shall be specified in the BOQ. RCBOs shall be offered with 10kA breaking capacity. The RCBOs shall be suitable for conductor cross-sections upto 35sq mm and shall be suitable for mounting on a 35mm DIN rail. The mechanical life shall be in line with the requirements of the standards.
In case of RCBOs being offered with a combination of MCBs and RC unit, the same has to be offered as a single device, factory assembled by the manufacturer. This has to be done to ensure that the necessary technical specifications as per IS12640 Part 2 are complied with.
RCBOs shall be available in 2P and 4P as the application demands. The following configurations shall be possible:
1. Type AC with C characteristics
2. Type Si with C characteristics
1. Type AC with C characteristics
2. Type Si with C characteristics
RCBOs for 2P applications shall be offered in 2M widths with 6kA breaking capacity wherever applicable. The DB size shall be reduced accordingly.
The RCDs shall have disconnection facility with suitability for Isolation and Positive Contact Indication, and shall be immune towards nuisance tripping due to Transient over voltages. The RCDs shall have trip indication facility on the front face and shall have provision for remote trip indication too. It should have the flexibility of fitment of Auxiliaries which enables integration in system with possibility of remote operation and signaling of status.
